Harbour analytics console
A clinical analytics interface that clinicians actually open — designed with them, in their workflow, on their hardware.
The problem
Harbour had rich data and a dashboard nobody used. Clinicians opened it once during onboarding and never again, because it answered questions they did not have.
The data was fine. The interface asked users to already know what they were looking for.
What we did
We sat in on twenty clinical sessions before drawing anything. The real need was not exploration — it was three specific answers, fast, between patients.
We rebuilt around those three answers, with exploration available but out of the way. Everything was designed for a 1366×768 clinical workstation, because that is what the wards actually run.
Accessibility was a requirement, not a phase: WCAG AA throughout, verified with screen readers.
The outcome
Weekly active use went from 8% of clinicians to 61%. Median time to answer a clinical question fell from four minutes to under thirty seconds.
The design system now covers Harbour's whole internal product suite.
They sat in on twenty clinical sessions before drawing a single screen. Nobody had done that before. Usage went from almost nobody to most of the department.
